The Lake House 六月 30. 2006

The Lake House, starring Sandra Bullock & Keanu Reeves, is essentially a Hollywood version of Korean movie Il Mare, my favourite of all in the past few years, which I have watched 5 times already.

Can't wait to see its western variant, I wonder when will the Lake House goes on show in Hong Kong.

Goodbye! See you all in a week's time. 六月 21. 2006

I am heading back to Toronto tomorrow for my cousin's wedding, I'll be back on July 2nd. Going back to this place where I have (literally) grown up, is a mix of feelings, and a clash of emotions.

Hong Kong is where I call home, but Toronto shaped me into the person I am now. It has given me education, friends, romance, and much more. I need not elaborate too much, those who know me well could easily tell.

Apple iPod 代工廠被指不合理對待中國勞工六月 17. 2006

對於稍為有影響力的跨國企業來說，corporate image 關係著公司長遠的獲利能力，大家都知道不容忽視。Nike、Reebok、Adidas 等運動用品巨人不止一次被指於第三世界國家間接雇用童工生產足球和其他運動用品，這種剝削人權的代工廠，老美都稱它們為 sweat shop。

這回被批剝削人權的是向來給人印像不錯的電腦巨人蘋果，南亞海嘯期間，Apple.com 的首頁什麼也沒有，佔最大篇幅的就是上面的勸捐資料。Apple 被報導指漠視代工廠商台灣鴻海精密工業 FoxConn 在深圳設立生產 iPod Nano 的廠房讓工人每天工作達 15 小時，而薪酬卻幾乎不夠糊口 (£27 = 少於 HK$400 )。

英樂迷投票印證 Oasis 班霸地位六月 3. 2006

6月 3日星期六 [Yahoo 專訊]

由英國權威音樂雜誌NME主辦的「百大最佳英國唱片」選舉終於有了結果，約4萬名樂迷透過互聯網站投票選出 Brit-Pop 搖滾樂隊 Oasis 的處男大碟Definitely Maybe，成功擊敗披頭四樂隊的 Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band 和 Revolver 兩張經典專輯，榮膺「百大」之首，樂隊主音Liam Gallagher 曾經誇下海口，揚言 Oasis 的成就將會比披頭四更偉大，看來他們已接近達標了。

緊隨三甲之後的是 Radiohead 的電子名作 OK Computer，然後又是 Oasis 另一張搖滾專輯（What's the Story）Morning Glory。根據投票結果顯示，在頭20位之中，僅得兩張唱片屬5年內推出的新碟，Pete Doherty所屬前樂隊The Libertines在2002年推出首張專輯Up the Bracket正是其中之一﹔至於Grunge 班霸 Nirvana 的舊作 Nevermind，以及The Strokes的 Is This It 則屬20名內，僅此兩支入圍美國樂隊。
