早幾天瑪姬說要給我點唱 Seekers 的「上帝會安排」，但因種種原因一直未有機會坐下來靜聽。今早在火車上用 iPod 把 seekers 的專輯從頭到尾聽了一遍，第四首「請到我身旁」讓我積壓已久的情緒一下子都湧到鼻尖。結果只是眼睛發紅了，給熟人碰到大可推說剛剛打呵欠，哈哈!

星期天 Keith 對我說「不可含怒到日落」，這句話小弟娘親自幾歲起便未停止過對我說，自問平日也算做得到，不過這次我實在需要多一點時間。

至於團契和詩班，我從來也沒有一走了之的念頭。瞧，我回來了!

[UPDATE] A bit on why I liked the movie:

Although I am never a big fan of American-Saviourism, but I enjoyed the simpleness of the plot & characters in this movie. Good guys are good head-to-toe, bad guys are bad, and there is nothing between. Even in his return Superman discovered that Lois Lane who has his own child, is now engaged to Richard, he chose not to interfere. I admire the ethics behind it, a logic that is now distinct not only in Hollywood movies, but also rarely found in our daily lives.

I have always enjoyed learning new vocabularies from reading, a while ago I have shared with you the word "übersexual"; this time from the June/July 06 issue of Details magazine, comes the word "luxocrat".

American dominance of finance and technology in the past half-century gave birth to this new identity in the American class system, a luxocrat "is not merely rich, but rich in a way that you couldn't have imagined back in college. He's rich enough to guarantee that every calorie that passes his lips has been fussed over by a master chef, rich enough to impulse-buy doodads from the Robb Report with a Black American Express Centurion card (which existence you weren't even aware of)...."

So who are the luxocrats? According to the author, luxocrats are "hedge-funders, real-estate moguls, Google geeks, surfers who retired at 30 after hitting the Silicon Valley jackpot..."

How true is the existence of such a class? I have no clue, chances are that it has always been around, and somehow surfaced as America de-industrializes.

我就算比人奚落到一 pat 爛泥咁，起碼都仲有 bro's drink、有隊 Snipers 又有粉皮大滾皇帝 etc 撐住我，what more can I ask for?

我要開心番。

今天滿心歡喜買了兩張 Superman Returns 的戲票，換來的不是 160 分鐘的娛樂，卻是近一個小時的揶揄和教訓。戲看不成沒關係，最大的問題是，今天所發生的事，我簡直可以用「荒謬」來形容! 後來致電那該死的交通警質詢他的動機，近一小時的對話，對方的回應可以用兩個字來概括: 「吹咩?」

交通警先生，這是第 N 次了。請少來你的輔導和心理學那一套，你葫蘆裡面有多少藥，大家心照。

大家見到我又寫 VW 又寫電腦，就知道悶左一個大禮拜既我，已經完全番晒黎啦!

Mac Rumors 近日報導，PowerMac G5 的後繼機種 Mac Pro 將會因為於本月底推出的 Intel Core 2 Duo 雙核 CPU 並不支援 multiprocessor config 而跳過 Conroe 核心的 CPU，直接將 Woodcrest 核心的 Intel 的伺服器級 Xeon 5100 系列帶到桌面市場。



這個傳聞不無道理，因為現時頂級的 PowerMac G5 配備 4 顆 IBM PowerPC 核心，沒理由讓雙核 Conroe 成為新一代 Mac 效能王的樽頸。不過個人覺得 Apple 還是有可能讓比較低階的新 Mac Pro 使用 Core 2 Duo，畢竟不是每一個用戶都用它來跑 Final Cut Pro 的嘛，跑跑 Photoshop 跟 Illustrator 犯不著要 4 核心吧? 況且，配備首代 Core 流動處理器 Yonah 的 MacBook / MacBook Pro 已經令大家刮目相看，Core 2 Duo 對於一眾平面玩家來說，效能應該不成問題。

至於小弟，立場實在有點尷尬，一方面欲欲想試 Intel 雙核心上跑 OS X 的威力; 另一方面，熟悉我的人都知道我是個 AMD 躉，看著 Intel Core 陣營這陣子呼風喚雨，而 AMD 的 Athlon64 X2 毫無招架之力 (至少在價錢看來是這樣)，實在感到有點不是味兒。事到如今，我唯有把厚望寄予 AMD 07 年反擊 Core 系列的重頭戲 K8L 4 核心架構!

After suffering a week of Canadian boredom, I am now back to my world of computers and Volkswagens. We all know that European customization of VWs means clean looks, shaved tailgates, door handles, moldings, bumpers and almost everything unsighty.

Across the pond in America, it's a totally different story. Perhaps influenced by the SoCal (Southern Californian) import scene (just think about Fast & Furious, you'll get the idea), the Americans tend to modify their veedubs in a more in-your-face perspective; wide-body conversions, wild body kits, big air-dams,quad-tip exhaust systems and crazy turbos are all over the continent.

If subtleness of the R32 Golfs means European, then we should not be a bit surprised to see Volkswagen of America teaming up with HPA motorsport in B.C., Canada means a bunch of fast cars with characteristics mentioned above. VWoA and the giant tuner teammed up at last year's SEMA show to showcase some Americanized R-projects, the Volkswagen R-GT concept.

These monsters are one-of-a-kinds, under the hood each lies a 3.2L V6 from the Golf R32, and were all force-fed by HPA's famous Garrett ball-bearing twin-turbo system, pumping out an outrageous 550hp.

早陣子我在加國呆了一個星期，期間有幸和一位老朋友談過一席話，當中提到她經常從男朋友住處獨個兒深夜駕車回家。我不禁問:「他不會送你回家的麼?」 「他沒有車」，這是她的回答。我默然。

我當時不便說什麼，如今寫在這裡是希望有認識她的人看到會和她談談。你說我古板也好，大男人也好，在我看來這個老外連坐公車送女朋友回家也不會，算什麼男人? 個多小時的公車太累人嗎? 那找個中間點吃頓飯各自回家行了吧? 如果連女朋友的安危也可以看得這麼輕，說這傢伙很愛你也太自欺欺人了吧?

別說我不懂得老外文化，愛可是一種 universal language，言語不通的會懂，盲的會懂，甚至聾的也聽得懂!

不瞞大家，她是我的初戀情人，去年某天我偶爾想起她還有感而發地寫了幾個字。我能夠在這裡寫出來希望認識她的朋友看到，當然也不怕被任何人知道。自己昂首期待下一次微笑，也希望她過得比我更好。說到底，她是我的成長路上一個很大的里程碑，跑過了縱使不再回頭看，卻也衷心希望這里程碑高聳入雲，永不倒下。

昨天晚上抽空安裝了粉皮推介的 Java 手機版聖經 Go Bible，想在這裡和各位分享一下 (特別適合這陣子在追趕章節的約瑟團友)。繁體中文版的 Go Bible 約佔 1.4MB 空間，我那 Sony Ericsson Z800i 不支援把 Java Application (jar 檔) 存到 Memory Stick Duo 中，而僅有的 6MB 內置記憶已被跟機來不能刪除的鈴聲、wallpaper、theme 佔用了大半，險些安裝不了。

要在 Sony Ericsson 的手機上安裝 Java Application 有三種方法: 1. 紅外線 2. USB (要裝 driver) 3. Bluetooth. 我選了 3. 要提一下的是我從來沒試過成功用 Windows PC 經 Bluetooth 傳送過任何檔案到手機，要是你試過 Mac OS X 的 Bluetooth support，你也許也會同意 PC 這個時候實在要靠邊站!

先下載 Go Bible。只要你的手機有足夠空間並支援 Java Application 及中文顯示，就能夠使用 Go Bible。


就是這樣，一手拿著手機，然後在 OS X 桌面的右上角 Bluetooth menu 內選 send file. Bingo!
