For those who doesn't know what the above means, it means that my TurboSIM is on the way. Together with high concentration and hopefully a couple hours of hardwork, I would be placing calls with my iPhone latest by next week.

If you have a trustworthy and helpful contact in the US, this is the best iPhone deal to date, both models are selling for US$100 less, which makes the 4GB @ US$399 an unbeatable choice!



Refurbrished iPhones came in a white box, brand new ones came in black, be careful if you are going to buy one from local importers.

My mate and colleague Eric called to confirmed me that the local "unlock" solution is for real, so I spent a little time on Hackint0sh to see what's going on. While it isn't really an "unlock", I'm pretty sure this is how they did it. (I'll be more sure once I have done mine...)

I'm ordering mine probably next week or so, see if I can save on shipping to order it with another colleague who also bought one from the US. After all, US$599 + £á59 + a little more for DHL shipping is nowhere close to HK$16,000 right? That's such a rip off.

After a week of exciting progress, grandma is back into coma state these two days because of Staphylococcus aurcus (ª÷¶À¸²µå²yµß) infection. She is now isolated and visiting time is limited to some particular few hours a day, I can only see her an hour at most after work.

Reading the Hackint0sh iPhone forum daily is part of the unlocking quest, while I get to know more about what this little beauty is capable of doing, I found myself also enjoying the occasional humor in the forum.

Stupid question: "I'd like to be ready-to-go if they ever manage to unlock the iphone so my question is, what do you think will be required?"

Answer A: "You will be required to go and buy a cape, a twig and some round black rimmed glasses. Then you need to cut your hair like Ringo (the Beatles dude), stand one one leg while chugging a gallon of Strawberry milk repeating the words.... Steve Job's is my homie. OR you could just pay $50 to the guy down the street who was a part of the quest and figured this out...."

Answer B: "I think the best way to prepair is to have a brain and a iPhone handy!"

Now here comes the best one that has actually got me laughing for minutes:
