AMD appoints Synnex as Asia channel distributor
http://www.digitimes.com reports that:
AMD announced on February 7 that it will appoint Synnex as a distributor in Asia. AMD's action is predicted not only to strengthen the distribution channel between North America and Asia, but also to expand its channel and products deeper into the Asia market, noted market sources.
In the past, AMD had no opportunity to cut into the consumer end channel, but since acquiring ATI, AMD now has the chance to work on the channel ATI had established in Asia. Synnex was the main distributor for ATI's graphic cards before the buyout so AMD will now work with Synnex to build up its CPU and GPU distribution channel.

AVNET plays bigger in Sun distribution

This transaction makes AVNET the leading distributor and a very important partner of Sun Microsystems.
